Planned project
To establish an international skills-upgradation pathway for non-clinical caregiving in cooperation with a German TVET Institution.
To internationalize the job roles of Elderly Caretaker (Non-Clinical) and Child Caretaker (Non-Clinical) and Strengthen trainers and assessors through ToT, enhance practical assessment and quality-assurance practices, and explore appropriate international certification/credential pathways.
The validated model will be piloted through all job roles that can be developed into a scalable pathway for international employment and mobility, with potential for adaptation to other countries.
Indicative implementation: 3-4 months.
About the company
HMCGSSC is a Sector Skill Council under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), affiliated with NSDC, focused on standardising and promoting skills in home management, non-clinical caregiving, sanitation and allied services.
HMCGSSC develops occupational standards, training and assessment frameworks and works with training institutions, industry and government stakeholders. The Council has an established ecosystem of trained and certified candidates, trainers and assessors and seeks to internationalise its caregiving qualifications and workforce pathways.
Requirements for the training provider
A long-term collaboration with a German TVET or care-sector institution to strengthen the international relevance of non-clinical caregiving qualifications and workforce.
German TVET Institution to support competency and curriculum benchmarking, development of bridge/upskilling modules, German language and workplace-cultural training, practical exposure, Training of Trainers, assessor development and quality-assurance practices.
HMCGSSC brings its existing pool of trained and certified caregivers, trainers and assessors, sector-specific qualifications and training ecosystem in India.
