Seeking German partner(s) for accredited fashion & textile VET in Egypt: AI, sustainability & standardized exams

Planned project

We seek German partners to co-develop and accredit fashion/textile programs:

1. Aalign curricula and assessments with German standards (tailoring/“Maßschneider”)
2. Integrate emerging technologies and AI applications in fashion/textiles (e.g., digital patternmaking, AI-driven design tools, smart textiles)
3. Add sustainability modules (OEKO-TEX STeP/Standard 100) and quality management, and
4. Pilot standardized exams in Cairo with external examiners. Blended model (online + offline), Arabic/English delivery

About the company

Bayt AlKhyata (sewing house) is a vocational training enterprise in Egypt (30,000+ women trained; 5,000+ income-generating) and is building the largest Arabic fashion VET platform, combining skills, entrepreneurship, and sustainability.

We run community-based and online programs across Egypt, with pathways to self-employment and jobs. Our ecosystem includes micro-production units, market linkages, and social impact monitoring.

Requirements for the training provider

Demonstrated VET delivery internationally; experience in fashion/textiles (patternmaking, sewing, apparel production), sustainability (OEKO-TEX), and emerging technology/AI.

Ability to:

1. Co-design curricula mapped to German occupational standards
2. Integrate digital/AI-based tools for design, manufacturing, and fashion management
3. Co-run standardized exams and issue co-branded certificates
4. Support QA, digital content, and M&E. Preference for partners open to multi-year collaboration in the MENA region
