Der philippinische Präsident Rodrigo Duterte hat einen nationalen Plan zur Entwicklung der technischen Berufsbildung (technical vocational skills) erlassen. Duterte adopts national plan for technical-vocational skills training

President Rodrigo Duterte has adopted the country's national plan for technical vocational skills development.

Executive Order No. 83 signed by Duterte on June 17 but released by Malacanang only on Thursday, approves the National Technical Education and Skills Development Plan 2018-2020 designed by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

The plan aims to help Filipino skilled workers get employed or gain entrepreneurship opportunities, and for the country to attain global competitiveness.

Under Duterte's order, the TESDA is tasked to ensure that all skills development programs conform to the objectives of the skills development plan. All government agencies are urged to support the implementation of the plan. Funding for the implementation of the national skills development program will be sourced from TESDA's budget, the order stated.

Earlier this year, Duterte signed Republic Act 11230 or the "Tulong Trabaho Act" which seeks to provide free access to technical-vocational education to qualified recipients to address the problem of job-skills mismatch.
