Oman: Weitere Pläne für Bildungssektor zum Abschluss gebracht

Das Bildungsministerium im Sultanat Oman arbeitet derzeit mit Hochdruck an Verbesserungen im Bildungssektor.

 

Oman: More plans finalised for educational sector

 

"The Ministry of Education (MoE) is taking all steps to make it a priority and efforts to form a methodology to fulfil the claims gradually". This statement was declared by officials of the ministry during a press conference held yesterday in the premises of the ministry.

"The Ministry is currently working on three projects. The first project is the higher education financial support which includes scholarships, diversity of specialities and residential affairs", officials stated.

They also pointed out that the other project is related to students affairs regulatory list which will enable the administration to perform its works with the participation of teachers.

The third project is given the top priority among all since it will result in providing a comprehensive guide book for teachers job description for the 23rd qualitative jobs currently available at schools.

The guidebook will include a special structure to define the teaching systems and lessons shares. It will guide schools on the best ways of investing times and efforts.

Generally, the Five Year Plans of the MoE extending from 2011-2015 comprises of 164 school projects divided into the five years as 2011 consisted of 14 projects, 2012 of 28, 2013 of 18, 2014 of 23 and 2015 of 19 projects.

"The accomplishments in this side are not satisfactory as only one project saw the light while 11 are ongoing and 24 are already tendered", they pointed out.

The future school building will enjoy some new modern features. There will be special classrooms for students with learning difficulties and the handicapped, meeting halls, nursing room, new structure for the cafeteria, laboratories and guards and drivers rooms.

The conference also discussed the school map which includes huge data base that shows schools' locations, teachers and students numbers, and facilities.

It will also guide the decision makers to take the accurate information about the education facilities in the Sultanate.

At the end of the conference, the officials assured that education is a public right and all are entitled to claim their rights and the authorities need to respond to such claims for the favour of the country and citizens.
