Indien: Schwerpunkt berufliche Bildung

Give thrust to vocational education

Focus on education and educational reforms are key priorities for the Government. Employable skill is one key area that needs big focus, in order to reduce the gap between market needs and the availability.

Bringing about changes in the secondary education and a focus on vocational education is one way to bridge this gap. As we see it, an increased outlay and initiatives such as revision of education loan schemes will go a long way in bolstering the education sector. Reforms that can be implemented at a quicker pace can set the autonomous growth of this sector and we strongly support the need to increase private investments in education.

The HRD (Human Ressource Development) Minister has also expressed the need for different models of private involvement. The Government has expressed interest in revamping vocational education and the need to focus on skill development.
