Der eLearning Africa 2012-Bericht ist ein erster Versuch, der darstellen soll, wie Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien (IKT) auf den Bildungssektor in Afrika wirken und diesen verändern.
Für den Bericht wurden 447 Personen direkt befragt und es wurden detaillierte Aussagen von Experten aus ganz Afrika ausgewertet. Der 56-seitige Bericht steht auf Englisch und Französisch als kostenloser Download zur Verfügung.
Max Ahouèkè, Minister für Kommunikation und Information sowie für Kommunikationstechnologien in Benin, stellte den Report bei der Eröffnungssitzung der eLearning Africa-Konferenz am 23. Mai 2012 der Öffentlichkeit vor.
Der eLearning Africa Report soll von nun an jedes Jahr einen Eindruck vom aktuellen Stand des E-Learning in Afrika vermitteln. Damit soll er helfen, einen fruchtbaren und nachhaltigen Dialog sowie effektives Handeln zu fördern. Der Bericht soll helfen, allen Menschen in Afrika das Lernen zu ermöglichen.

Max Ahouèkè, Benin's Minister of Communication and Information and Communication Technologies, launched The eLearning Africa 2012 Report at the opening session of the eLearning Africa conference on May 23rd.
The eLearning Africa 2012 Report examines how Africans are using new technologies to enhance education and training across Africa, using data collected from 447 survey respondents and detailed analyses by a number of prominent commentators including traditional chiefs, investors and academics from across Africa.
The eLearning Africa Report aims to provide regular, yearly snapshots of the eLearning experience in Africa, with the aim of fostering richer, more nuanced conversations, healthier decision-making and more effective action-taking towards ensuring Education for All in Africa.
