Under the motto "We shape the future" the Eckert Schulen organise courses of instruction as well as vocational education and training measures for German and international participants. The "German Industry Master International" has been developed especially for international markets.

iMOVE: What is the name and background of your organisation?

Radlinger: Under the motto "Wir bilden Zukunft" ("We shape the future") the Dr. Robert Eckert Schulen AG organises courses of instruction as well as vocational education and training measures for German and international participants. The company was founded in 1946. So far over 70,000 students have been trained by the Eckert Schulen at more than 35 locations. Some 5,000 are currently residents at the Regenstauf campus in Bavaria.

iMOVE: Which services in the field of vocational education and training do you offer?

Radlinger: Our training offers are very diverse and refer to a great variety of occupations and professions. Common features of all our trainings include the most modern teaching and learning methods and comprehensive practice-orientation including project-oriented assignments. Participants gain insight into the definition of training targets, learning with new media, work psychology and the use of creativity techniques. Of course, we also offer computer-based instruction, excursions to successful companies from the region and the attendance at cultural events.

iMOVE: What are your international business experiences?

Radlinger: Last year we were commissioned by the Technical Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) of Saudi Arabia to conduct a 3-month pilot project of training 20 trainers from the metal and electrical engineering sectors. TVTC as the federal education and control organisation works under immediate supervision of the Saudi Arabian royal dynasty.

iMOVE: Which key service do you have on offer for a successful cooperation with international partners?

Radlinger: Since February 2013, the Eckert Schulen train 28 skilled workers of the Malaysian metal sector to become "Deutsche Industriemeister International" (DIMI, German Industry Master International), commissioned by the University of Kuala Lumpur. "Industriemeister" form a link between skilled staff and management. They are experts in their occupational fields, managers and trainers. Their training has been developed by the Eckert Schulen especially for international markets.

The 9-month training course includes not only training measures in Germany but also 2-month internships at German companies with branches in Malaysia. Participants are to get in contact with German employers who are looking for qualified staff. German companies like Mühlbauer, Mercedes and Osram participate in this training measure.
