Accessibility statement
This accessibility statement applies to the website published at www.imove-germany.de by the iMOVE division of the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (in short: iMOVE at BIBB).
As a public body as defined by Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we are committed to making our website and mobile application accessible in accordance with the regulations of the Federal Act on Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (Federal Disability Equality Act - BGG) and the Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

Status of compliance with the requirements
The accessibility requirements are derived from Sections 3 (1) to (4) and 4 of the BITV 2.0.
Compliance with the requirements was assessed by Y1 Digital AG on 27 May 2024 in accordance with the WCAG 2.1 standard and additionally incorporating several points from WCAG 2.2 (WCAG: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
Based on the assessment, the website is partially compliant with the aforementioned requirements. The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:
Provider pool ⇒ Matrix search function
- Problem: The search function is not accessible.
- Restrictions: Partially inadequate keyboard operation, no consistent semantic structure, lack of status feedback.
- Alternative: An accessible search page with identical results is linked and usable.
- Success criteria not met (WCAG 2.1/BITV 2.0):
- 1.3.1 Information and relations
- 2.1.1 Keyboard
- 2.4.6 Headings and labels
- 3.1.2 Language of parts
- 4.1.2 Name, role, value
B2B marketplace ⇒ Map display (Google Maps)
- Problem: The interactive map for filtering offers is not accessible (graphical, interactive, no labels).
- Alternative: Equivalent, accessible filtering via dropdown menu.
- Success criteria not met (WCAG 2.1/BITV 2.0):
- 1.1.1 Non-text content
- 2.1.1 Keyboard
- 2.4.4 Purpose of links (in context)
- 4.1.2 Name, role, value
Main menu (navigation)
- Problem: Navigation is generally possible using the keyboard, but status information (e.g. active/focused) is not communicated consistently.
- Success criteria not met (WCAG 2.1/BITV 2.0):
- 2.4.3 Focus order
- 4.1.2 Name, role, value
Home page slider/carousel
- Problem: Keyboard operation is possible, but screen reader compatibility is limited. No reliable announcement of the active slide or total number of slides.
- Success criteria not met (WCAG 2.1/BITV 2.0):
- 1.3.1 Information and relations
- 2.1.1 Keyboard
- 4.1.2 Name, role, value
- 4.1.3 Status messages
Insufficient screen reader feedback for dynamic content
- Problem: Changes or feedback are not reliably transmitted to screen readers. Examples:
- No feedback for search hits
- No feedback when scrolling in a carousel
- No feedback when submitting forms
- No feedback on filter effects (e.g. news overview)
- Success criteria not met (WCAG 2.1/BITV 2.0):
- 4.1.3 Status messages
Non-web documents in non-Latin fonts
- Problem: While publications in Latin script are generally accessible, this is not the case for documents in languages with non-Latin scripts (e.g. Arabic, Chinese). The testing and creation tools available at iMOVE at BIBB do not reliably support these fonts. These documents are therefore not available in accessible form.
- Success criteria not met (EN 301 549):
- 1.1.1 Non-text content
- 1.3.1 Information and relations
- 3.1.1 Main language of the page
- 3.1.2 Language of parts
- 4.1.2 Name, role, value
(Note: WCAG 2.1 itself formally only applies to web content – however, EN 301 549 also includes electronic documents)

We continuously strive to achieve the highest possible level of accessibility. Among other things, costs and human resources are factors that can unfortunately delay this. New content is generally provided in an accessible format or with an accessible alternative.
