Corporate Profile
As a provider of knowledge in international development since 1992 ECO Consult GmbH & Co. KG draws from a wealth of experience from projects worldwide in the areas of basic education, green market-oriented technical and vocational education, natural resource management, value chain development, climate change, governance and others.
Activities in the education sector include:
• Vocational training especially in rural areas
• Training support for regional and municipal commissions, decision-makers, advisory staff
• Support to administrations and line agencies (education planning, human resources management, curricula development)
• Capacity development of government education authorities and empowerment of civil society organisations
• As well as a broad range of shorter training formats
It is ECO's goal to support capacity development – on an individual, organizational or network scope – by a decidedly strategic and results-oriented approach. Capacity development is effective when embedded in a process that translates development needs into learning objectives and supports the application of the newly acquired knowledge in the respective context. Therefore, ECO offers services before, during and after training/education events, also digitally, to ensure that efforts yield the desired results.
To guarantee this, ECO counts on its proven experts in learning and cutting-edge didactical approaches, also for adult education, – off and online - combining technical inputs with interactive methods that allow students/trainees to acquire not only knowledge but to also develop practical skills and, an important factor in change management, a favourable attitude. With its 30 fully-employed inhouse and presently about 85 long-term project-related staff, ECO is able to deliver these services in German, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and on the basis of in-depth country knowledge and established networks with governmentals and civil society.
