The Westermann Group is one of the largest educational publishing houses in Germany. Westermann originally established themselves as one of the great cartographic publishers, in particular with the DIERCKE atlas which is still a mainstay of the Westermann Cartography. The publishing programme was systematically developed to offer a broad range of educational titles while maintaining the focus on Cartography.
The Westermann companies develop and distribute textbooks and educational media for all subjects at all school levels from Early Learning to Vocational Studies including textbooks, reference books, teaching materials as well as software and online-products In recent years, the Westermann Group has grown considerably in its core areas and is now one of the leaders on the German educational media market.
