Westermann develops Moodle courses for North Rhine-Westphalia

Following a Europe-wide tender, the Ministry for Schools and Education for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia has hired Westermann, the educational media provider, to create digital courses for all types of schools and at all levels. Westermann is the exclusive partner for digital educational media in this important tender project.

Westermann is using Moodle software to directly develop a total of 26 courses for the North Rhine-Westphalian learning portal "LOGINEO NRW LMS" and is making the courses available to schools via this portal. The contract comprises digital teaching units in the subjects of German, Mathematics, English and IT for general education schools.

For vocational education and training, content is being prepared which applies across occupations. Each course will cover a lesson topic based on a curriculum or educational plan. Over the next three months, Westermann will make the modules available to the Ministry for Schools and Education and then support teachers with onboarding and using the modules with the aid of webinars, tutorials and other service offers.
