"Summer of vocational education and training" promotes the successful dual training model

From June to October 2021, partners involved in the Alliance for Initial and Continuing Training are promoting dual training. The goal is for as many young people as possible to be able to start their career in a company despite coronavirus.

"Especially in these uncertain times, dual training offers young people a great start in future-proof and demanding occupations with outstanding advanced training and career opportunities," explains Hans Peter Wollseifer with confidence. The President of the German Central Association of Skilled Trades provides some examples of issues for the future such as the energy and mobility revolution, housing, the smart home and the health sector.

He explained that the plus point of dual training is the personal support during the training. This represents an attractive prospect and a support for young people, especially following the contact limitations during the pandemic. "Together we want to use the ‘Summer of vocational education and training’ to whet young people's appetites for training, to give them reassurance, to remove their anxieties about the future, and to help find the right training for them."

The German Central Association of Skilled Trades represents the skilled trades sector in the "Alliance for Initial and Continuing Training". Together, all the partners want to promote the successful model of dual vocational education and training to young people and companies as part of the "Summer of vocational education and training" initiative. Campaign days with specific themes as well as a wide range of events are planned. The goal is to more widely publicise the broad range of support offered by the alliance partners.
