For the second year in a row, the Peter Mertes winery has been named one of the best training companies in Germany. This is the conclusion of the latest study conducted by the Institute for Management and Economic Research on behalf of Deutschland Test and the business magazine FOCUS MONEY.
The training success, training ratio, remuneration and the additional provision of a total of 20,000 companies in Germany was assessed. In the alcoholic beverages area, the winery achieved the maximum possible points total and finished in first place in the beverages sector - true testimony to the outstanding support offered to young trainees in the Peter Mertes business.
Varied activities, a friendly working environment and great career opportunities in the attractive wine sector are what make Peter Mertes KG an attractive training company. The training company has a lot to offer. The trainee occupations include wine technologist, wine grower, management assistant in wholesale and foreign trade, industrial mechanic, information technology specialist, warehouse logistics operator, machine and plant operator, electronic technician for industrial electronics and, as of 2019, management assistant for marketing communication.
A dual course of study is also available for beverage technologists. The trainees can expect comprehensive vocational education and training based on the Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s general training plan and which provides the next generation with the perfect preparation for work in the wine business.
