"5-star" continuing education and training: Germany's best provider of continuing vocational education and training is based in the Regensburg region. The magazine "Stern" awarded the Eckert Schools top marks in all assessment criteria, naming it Germany's "best provider of vocational education and training".
In an independent online survey on behalf of the "Stern" magazine, market researchers from the Statista institute surveyed a total of 7,900 users of continuing education and training provision and arrived at a very clear result: They declared the Eckert Schools to be Germany's best continuing education provider. The family company, based in Regenstauf, not far from the City of Regensburg and with more than 50 locations across Germany, achieved the very best grades in the areas of learning quality as well as value for money and satisfaction and, compared to competitors, also received the best customer assessments in the individual categories in each case. Overall assessment: 5 out of 5 stars. Vice Chair Gottfried Steger regards the result above all as confirmation of the Eckert philosophy, "Your decision, our job". "We are, of course, delighted at this outstanding feedback from our participants and it provides motivation for us to continue setting the right priorities on into the future," explains Steger.
The results of the study were compiled via an online panel from 29 May to 22 June 2019. Respondents were able to either select their training provider from the 113 suggested or to specify other providers and assess these, provided they were active in Germany. Learning quality was the most significant factor, accounting for 50 percent of the weighting in the overall ranking. In this regard, the Stern editorial team focussed in particular on the organisation of the learning material and how up to date it was, on the preparation of learning content, on service and pastoral provision and on the learning effect. The Eckert Schools scored particularly highly here with 96 out of a possible 100 points and were significantly ahead of other competitors.
What sets the Eckert Schools apart is the personalised provision, individually tailored to the needs of participants: At the "education training satellites" spread throughout Germany from Hamburg to Passau and from Freiburg to Berlin, it's the "Eckert 360-degree concept" which forms the basis of the success. Participants are able to select different forms of learning according to living circumstances and they receive individual care and advice long before the first learning unit. "We also endeavour to work very closely with business," emphasises Steger. "We maintain very close contacts and co-operative arrangements and, in this way, generate synergy effects which benefit both our participants as well as companies as potential employers" The education and training provision of the Eckert Schools today comprises virtually all occupational areas from state-certified technician and Chamber of Commerce and Industry industrial master craftsman, via specialists, expert merchants and Chamber of Commerce and Industry business economists through to in-service bachelor's and master's programmes. Internal technical and vocational schools also provide courses focused on advancement in the medical, hotel and restaurant sectors.
