BIBB: Cooperation with Colombian partner goes on
The Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) and Colombia's National Vocational Training Service (SENA) extend their cooperation and define joint topics for the period 2025-2028.
The cooperation between the Colombian Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje (SENA) and BIBB has been in place since 2011. The cooperation agreement is regularly renewed in order to keep up with the times and define current cooperation goals. New priority topics are also set.
In June, BIBB President Professor Friedrich Hubert Esser and SENA Director General Jorge Eduardo Londoño signed a new cooperation phase for the years 2025-2028.
Over the next three and a half years, SENA and BIBB intend to intensify their dialogue and joint projects in the following areas in particular:
- Challenges, strategies and best practices in dual vocational education and training
- VET research (including the further development of the Colombian data report)
- Sustainable development in vocational education and training
- Technological and digital change
The agreement opens up numerous interesting exchange opportunities and impulses for vocational eduation and training (VET) in Germany. For example, the areas of micro credentials (for the German debate on partial qualifications), business start-ups, inclusion and recognition procedures are of interest.
