Special Focus: iMOVE's latest trade fair presentations

In many countries of the world, the high level of environmental pollution, the increasing ecological awareness of the population, yet also long-term economic interests boost the demand for environmentally sound technologies and processes. The associated investment needs which are often challenging also include the vocational education and training of qualified staff who can handle innovative technologies properly.

Due to this, iMOVE again presented its services – this time together with the training provider SKZ from Wurzburg - at the IFAT Entsorga, the world’s leading trade fair for the water, sewage, waste and raw materials management in Munich. From May 7 to 11 interested parties from abroad could not only gather information on the latest technical developments, but also on corresponding training measures for employees.

The trade fair was fully booked and the number of exhibitors reached an all time high of 2,939 from 54 nations. 125,000 visitors attended the trade fair; 50,000 came from abroad, mostly from Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Russia, the Netherlands, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Poland and Spain.

iMOVE also took part in this year's KUBRI, the first Euro-Arab Career and Education Fair on May 11-12 in Munich. Kubri combines the interests of companies, universities and educational organisations as well as students and university graduates thus contributing to the exchange between industry and the educational sector on the German/European and Arab sides.

In particular the transformation processes that began in the Arab world early in 2011 underscore the fundamental importance attached to education in general and professional training and university education in particular und above all to access to jobs. Germany has recognised this trend and is about to launch numerous new programmes and develop existing initiatives that promote cooperation in these fields and provide concrete assistance.

iMOVE presented its services at the workshop "Vocational Training in the Kingdom of Bahrain - Opportunities for German Education Providers".
