The Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs opens a new SKZ training center in China

On 1st of November 2011 in Kunshan as part of the opening of the Startup Factory a further SKZ educational location is entering into service. During his visit to China, the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs, Martin Zeil, participated at the Opening Ceremony.

German Plastics Center SKZ recognised the potential of the Chinese market some years ago in order to extend its activities in the field of further training and education. The Highlight so far was the establishing of the subsidiary Sino-German Plastic Technology Service Co., Ltd. in Cheng De in 2010, led by Mrs. Haiyun Yang.

Many training courses are currently being held in China as in-house trainings, courses on topics such as Injection Molding, Extrusion, Welding and processing of Composites. In-house training means that courses are taking place directly in the respective companies and being held by the SKZ employees from Germany. Trainings are held in German language with the simultaneous translation into Chinese. Above all, a high percentage of practical training is very well received among Chinese trainees.

In order to establish a sustainable and long-term position on the Chinese educational market SKZ decided to open a training center in China that will have the corresponding technical facilities to be able to offer future practical training courses on the topics mentioned above as open workshops. On a medium term practical training courses should be held in Chinese language by local employees.

SKZ training center is located in the Startup Factory in the city of Kunshan, Province Jiangsu, about 40 kilometers west of Shanghai. The training center offers many companies, working within the plastics industry and located in the metropolitan area of Shanghai, the best conditions to train their specialists according to German standards.
