Partnership with Siemens provides for practice-oriented further training for teachers

Since 2004 the German Federal State of Schleswig-Holstein cooperates with the company Siemens in the field of further training for teachers at vocational training schools. The topic "Energy efficiency and intelligent automation" now complements the training series.

Minister Dr. Ekkehard Klug said, "The dedication and commitment of Siemens enables us to bring excellent technlogical know-how to vocational schools. Thus, instruction can keep up with current developments." According to Minister Klug, the cooperation provides useful impulses for vocational training and the economy in Schleswig-Holstein. More than 500 teachers have benefited from this training offer since 2004.

Roland Scheuerer (Siemens) said, "Short innovation cycles are characteristic of the development in the automation industry. To meet this challenge the companies need well-training employees. It is of increasing importance for all technology providers that technical trends are promptly dealt with during the lessons at vocational schools."
