German craft trade competition at federal state level / eight second places and three third places.

In the 31 contests comprising the competition at federal state level, the young craftsmen and women from the Koblenz Chamber District notched up 19 victories. Eight silvers and three bronzes also went to northern Rhineland Palatinate – "a very impressive result and our warmest congratulations go to the young people and to the training companies," says a delighted Kurt Krautscheid, Chamber of Crafts and Trades President and Ralf Hellrich, General Manager in the company of the participants, their families and the trainers. The final contests for the federal state heat have now taken place in Trier.

This is a traditional contest held since 1951 among the best graduates from the journeyman examinations: the German craft trade competition takes place after the preliminary heats with the highlight being the national final. With their victories at federal state level, 19 young craftsmen from the Koblenz Chamber District have now secured their places for the final. "The next few days will determine under what coronavirus restrictions the national heat will take place and how the victors will be determined. However, one thing is already certain for the federal state winners: in this year of widespread restrictions, professionally they have achieved something amazing that will stay with them," added Krautscheid and Hellrich.
