8th Arab-German Education and Vocational Training Forum
The Arab-German Education and Vocational Training Forum is jointly organized by the Ghorfa Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Ghorfa) and iMOVE at the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB). The Education Forum will be taking place in Berlin for the 8th time in 2019.
Arab countries and Germany have been cooperating through various education projects for many years. In addition to business partnerships, personal networks have been established. At this forum, experts from governments, the industry, universities and the training sector will discuss further opportunities of Arab-German cooperation, as well as challenges and potential solutions in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
On the first day, the Arab guests will be welcomed at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, where they will receive an overview of the VET system in Germany, of the costs and benefits, as well as of the opportunities to get in contact with German VET providers.
Afterwards, the Arab guests will have the possibility to attend two site visits to training institutes.
In the evening, all participants of the forum can make new business contacts during the networking reception.
The event on the second day, held as a symposium, will focus on the concrete demand for VET from Arab companies and institutions and on the expertise of the German counterparts.
The main objective of the meeting will again be to facilitate networking opportunities for our Arab and German guests.

Standard fare
- 350 Euros (plus VAT) for Ghorfa-members and education and vocational training institutions
- 500 Euros (plus VAT) for non-members and other companies
Terms and conditions
- If the person registered is unable to attend, a replacement participant may be nominated to take part in the event.
- The organisers reserve the right to cancel scheduled events or events which have already started due to the of lack of participants, illness on the part of lecturers/speakers or other disruptions which do not lie in the responsibility of the organisers. Registration fees already paid will be refunded in such cases. No claims other than reimbursement of money paid may be asserted.
- The person attending agrees to film recordings being made of and photographs being taken of him or her during the event. The person attending agrees that these can be used and published in print and broadcasting media and online free of charge as part of iMOVE and Ghorfa public relations work.
