Corporate Profile

The CBS International Business School is a private university of applied sciences and was established in 1993. CBS has been part of the Stuttgart Klett Group since 2016. The Klett Group is a leading educational company in Europe and is represented internationally in 17 countries. The Klett Group operates numerous educational facilities ranging from day care centres and schools to distance learning schools, distance learning colleges and universities (www.klett-gruppe.de).

Currently, CBS has approximately 4000 students on 10 campuses across Germany. The international campus in Cologne with around 1600 students welcomes students from almost 80 different nationalities into its English-taught full-time BSc, MSc and MBA Business programs . Each semester, CBS receives around 300 exchange students from its partner universities worldwide.

CBS offers a range of study programs on Bachelor, Master and MBA levels. The CBS programs focus on International Business (BSc and MSc) with different areas such as Entrepreneurship or Marketing Management. Further study programs are Strategic Management & Consulting, HRM & Leadership, Digital Transformation Management, Global Finance as well as Business Psychology.

All CBS study programs are state-recognized and have been accredited through the German governmental Science Council, “Wissenschaftsrat”, as well as through the international IACBE accreditation and the FIBAA.

The CBS is proud of its very practical oriented education. A large part of our faculty has worked or is still working for different large or small companies, and is thus able to transfer knowledge from their work experience into the classroom. CBS has a wide range of contacts to companies in the Cologne region and beyond. Our students gain practical experience through various internships – an option that we offer to international students to CBS as well.
