PEM CONSULT is an independent private consulting firm, founded in 1977 and based in Düsseldorf, Germany. PEMs service portfolio encompasses advisory services, technical assistance and project management services to public institutions, private sector organisations and individual enterprises, primarily in developing countries, emerging economies and economies in transition.
Since it´s founding, PEM has been operating in core fields related to sustainable development and gained in-depth experience in a wide range of geographic, economic and political settings. Based on the extensive experience in project management, PEM enjoys an outstanding reputation as a partner in multinational project teams.
From our first specialisation in private sector development in the 70s, with a focus on small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), we have successively developed our expertise in (vocational) education & training and employment promotion. Core regions of our work are the Mediterranians, South-East Europe, South-East Asia and Africa. Main development partners of our activities are German bilateral agencies (GIZ, KfW), multi-lateral organisations (Europe Aid, ADB) and others (USAID, SDC, MCC).
