Parliament passes continuing vocational education and training act

The German Federal Parliament has passed the Qualification Opportunities Act with a large majority.

The act stipulates, for example, that funding for the continuing vocational education and training of employees should no longer be dependent on age, training or size of business. It is intended, in particular, to benefit employees whose jobs are threatened by the technological transformation.
