Not for school, but for life

The 5th Chinese Olympic Games of the German Language took place at the Yaohua Binhai School in Tianjin from September 23rd to 25th.

According to Sebastion Vötter, deputy head of the Goethe-Institute in Beijing, the quality of language competencies and also the number of participating schools has increased enormously, "Only 3 schools took part in the first event while we now have 49 participating schools from all parts of the country."

The Olympic Games of the German Language was part of the initative "Schools. Partners of the Future." The winner was Yuan Le from the Foreign Language School at Taiyuan. Next year she will visit Germany for the International Olympic Games of the German Language.
