Increasing number of training places

Despite the fact that there will be - due to the shortening of the number of school years - twice as many school leavers as usual and despite the suspension of compulsory military service, perspectives of the apprenticeship market in Germany are good.

The number of new training contracts is therefore expected to increase, whereas the number of young people without a training place will decrease. Besides, the youth unemployment rate in Germany of 9.5 per cent is far below the EU average.
