Export of education and training to Iran

iMOVE and the Didacta Association—Association of the German Education Industry—organised the "Export of Education and Training to Iran" Round Table in Stuttgart, Germany, as part of the didacta education trade fair.

Dr. Sabine Donauer of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) welcomed both the German education industry representatives and, in particular, extended a warm welcome to the guests from Iran. The deputy head of the TVTO, Dr. Hamid-Reza Sabetnejad, and Governor of the TVTO in the Province of Azerbaijan, Yaghoub Namayandeh, took part in the round table.

Training and continuing education in Iran

Dr. Sabetnejad presented the system of vocational training and continuing education in Iran and explained the role of the TVTO in the Iranian education and training landscape. He emphasized the TVTO's interest in meeting the qualification requirements of foreign businesses in Iran. In this respect, he explicitly stressed the TVTO's willingness to identify industry requirements together with German partners and to meet these requirements in jointly operated training institutions.

Dr. Sabetnejad explained that the day before, the TVTO and Festo, the German training provider, had signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a Festo academy in Karaj, a city with a population of 1.6 million west of Tehran. The aim is to create the academy on the site of the Instructor Training Center (ITC), which is run by the TVTO. Dr. Sabetnejad expressed the wish that other German businesses should follow this example.

In addition to direct cooperation with the German education industry, the TVTO is also seeking to cooperate with the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) in structural areas.
