The multi-city tour of India is being held in celebration of the "Year of Germany." The whole tour is entitled, "Indo-German Urban Mela" (Indo-German Urban Meet-Up).
The tour began on 13 April 2012 in Mumbai. The Ministers of Transport of the two countries officially inaugurated the tour by lighting an oil lamp.
The multi-city tour will be travelling from Mumbai to Bangalore, Chennai, New Delhi and ending in January 2013 in Pune. iMOVE will be promoting German vocational training in every city.
The BMBF Pavillon in which iMOVE was an exhibitor is one of the pavilions of the German architect and installation artist Markus Heinsdorff. Over the coming year, Heinsdorff's pavilions will be set up in five major Indian cities. They are designed to enable the Indian population to experience Germany in a variety of ways.

Infinitive Opportunities – Germany and India 2011-2012
India and Germany are celebrating their good relations under the theme "Infinitive Opportunities – Germany+India 2011-2012."
Germany was one of the first countries to recognise India right after its independence. Since 2000, the two countries have been united by a strategic partnership which is being further expanded, amongst other things, in the area of vocational training.
As such, a German-Indian Working Group for Vocational Education and Training has been in place since 2009, operating under the direction of BMBF. Vocational training also took on a prominent role at the first Indo-German intergovernmental consultations held at the end of May 2011 in New Delhi.
Since there is a significant demand by German and Indian companies in India, Indian training providers and the Indian government for vocational training and continuing education, iMOVE opened an office in New Delhi.
