The German National Carpenters team from Holzbau Deutschland (Federation of German Master Carpenters) were awarded gold in the individual and team classification for the third time in a row at the 2016 European Carpenters Championship in Basel.
26 competitors from 10 nations competed for the gold, silver and bronze medals at the 12th European vocational competition.
Kevin Hofacker from Steinau in Hesse took gold in the individual classification. Florian Kaiser from Kirchhundem in North Rhine-Westphalia achieved third place and Daniel Duch from Gau-Algesheim in Rhineland-Palatinate came 7th.
