Federal Minister Brigitte Zypries states that "dual training is a successful model and a real export hit"

The Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy has updated and modified the training and examination contents of various training regulations. These amendments have just entered into force.

The following training occupations are affected.

 

  • Automobile business administrator
  • Biological laboratory technician
  • Biological modeller
  • Broom and brush maker
  • Butcher
  • Management assistant for retail services
  • Piano and harpsichord maker
  • Air traffic management assistant
  • Footwear maker and finisher
  • Service employee in air traffic
  • Process technologist for the milling and grain production industry
  • Sales assistant for retail services

Federal Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy Brigitte Zypries said, "Dual training is a successful model and a real export hit. It also offers a very good future and a real alternative to higher education. Careers in the dual system of vocational education and training result in an early entry to the world of work, good earnings potential, and exciting practical opportunities. In order to ensure that training regulations continue to keep pace with the times, we have undertaken numerous updates and adaptations. We continuously work with trade and industry to fire young people's enthusiasm for dual training. The main way of achieving this is by offering good training conditions."
