Sparkassenstiftung supports Thailand's financial literacy initiative

Some 200 representatives of Thailand's finance and education sector attended the International Seminar on Financial Literacy for Youth in Bangkok on current developments and trends in the field of financial education for children, youth and young adults.

Experts of the Sparkassenstiftung für internationale Kooperation (Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation) supported the event with presentations and panel discussions about the German advisory service "Geld und Haushalt" (Money and Private Households) and the "Sparkassen-Schulservice" (Savings Banks School Service) – both joint organisations of the German Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe (German Savings Banks Finance Group).

In addition to that, interested participants received insights into the work of Sparkassenstiftung, based on practical examples of its long-term cooperation activities in over 80 countries worldwide.

Thailand's government intends to develop and implement a national strategy for financial literacy in the near future. Sparkassenstiftung has been asked for support and guidance, based on its profound expertise in the field of financial literacy.
