Graduates from vocational schools win awards

27 young people received the Franz-Bruch-Stiftung Award, at a ceremony in St. Wendel

The Franz-Bruch-Stiftung foundation Award is presented to young people who have finished their studies at vocational schools. The awards, consisting of certificates and cash prizes, were recently presented at Globus in St. Wendel, by Thomas Bruch, managing partner of Globus Group. There was positive feedback on cooperation with the Dr. Walter Bruch School.

"These students have really achieved something very special and demonstrated the energy and will to success. That deserves recognition." Thomas Bruch, managing partner of the Globus Group found some warm words for the students at the award ceremony for the Franz-Bruch-Stiftung, held in the cafeteria of the Globus department store in St. Wendel. These students had attained various school leaving qualifications at vocational schools a few weeks previously and had now been honoured as prize winners.

This year there were no less than 27 award winners; each received a certificate, a cash prize and a bulging shopping bag. Thomas Bruch also took the opportunity to praise the positive partnership with the Dr. Walter Bruch School and underline the importance of training in his company. Globus current employs over 1000 trainees across Germany.

Hubert Gottschlich, director of the Dr. Walter Bruch School is convinced that the young award winners have "built a solid foundation for their future" with their school leaving qualifications. He thanked the Franz-Bruch-Stiftung for supporting vocational education.

He also took the award ceremony as an opportunity to announce that for the first time at the school, there would now be a class especially for 19 young refugees from Eritrea, Afghanistan and Syria. The new school students are going to be given prevocational training. However, once they have had the opportunity to break the language barrier, they will be transferred to regular school classes.
