TÜV Rheinland receives innovation prize for vocational continuing education

The TÜV Rheinland Akademie receives the Comenius EduMedia Seal for its e-learning continuing education course for quality assurance representatives. The seal is awarded by the Gesellschaft für Pädagogik und Information e.V. (GPI - Society for Paedagogics and Information) and is regarded as an award for special multimedia innovations in the field of vocational education and training.

The society promotes ICT-based educational media that are of particular merit. The prize is awarded annually by an international jury of media experts and serves to certify the high didactic and media-related quality of the TÜV Rheinland Akademie's continuing education programme.

With the award-winning e-learning continuing education programme for quality assurance representatives, the TÜV Rheinland provides the opportunity to complete the course independent of time and location: with either the computer or tablet in both off- and online mode. The continuing education programme comprises two modules that teach the students the basics of quality management and, in a second step, the organisation of quality assurance tasks and their auditing.

The modules are co-ordinated in such a way so as to allow flexible combination of presence, online and offline learning. After completion of the continuing education programme, students can choose to sit for a written exam. After their successful graduation, students receive a certificate by the DIN EN ISO / IEC 17024 accredited Certification Agency for Persons PersCert TÜV, which attests to their qualification as "Quality Assurance Representative (TÜV)".
