Siemens Industry assists Taichung-Changhua-Nantou Regional Branch, WDA,
Ministry of Labor to officially inaugurated the first SMSCP Training Center in
Taiwan, September 22, 2014
We are happy to announce that Taiwan's First Transnational Siemens
Mechatronic Systems Certification Program (SMSCP) Training Center was officially
inaugurated at Taichung-Changhua-Nantou Regional Branch, Workforce Development
Agency (WDA), Ministry of Labor on Sep 22nd with assistance from Siemens
Industry to create international competitiveness for technical personnel in
Taiwan.
During the inauguration, Mr. Chen, Rui-Jia, Director of
Taichung-Changhua-Nantou Regional Branch, Workforce Development Agengy (WDA),
Dr. Roland Wein, Executive Director of the German Trade Office, and Mr. Andreas
Herrmann, Vice President of Industry Taiwan signed the Memorandum of Cooperation
to enhance the professionalism of mechatronic systems education in
Taiwan.
In the framework of the inauguration and MoU signing event, the
SMSCP Instructor Certification Course Level 1 started successfully.
Two
expert trainers from the Siemens Technik Akademie Berlin traveled to Taiwan to
hold the SMSCP Instructor Certification course. In the coming two weeks the STA
trainers will explain and practice STA teaching methods like "System Approach"
with the course participants and cover the different content areas of the Level
1 mechatronics certification. The goal of the training is to prepare the local
teachers at CTC in a way, that they are able to teach the SMSCP courses to their
students using the System Approach teaching philosophy. With the help of this
teaching philosophy students can increase their troubleshooting and problem
solving skills, increase their practical experience in terms of operating
mechatronic systems and learn how to use their knowledge in new situations – in
short – students will develop "Handlungskompetenz" or adaptive
expertise.
We wish all participants two successful weeks and look forward
to all future steps regarding the cooperation with CTC, Changhua-Nantou Regional
Branch, Workforce Development Agengy (WDA), the German Trade Office and Siemens
Industry Taiwan!
